Musical Marathon May 2020

I was asked to be involved in a live stream event in aid of ActingForOthers.co.uk

It was organised by a young up and coming MD called Sam Young.

A number of young - and old - West End and Broadway MDs played and sang something from their Musical Theatre background.  I chose Spread A Little Happiness from Mr Cinders which I did in 1983/84.

However before I played it I made a little musical montage of some of the shows that I have conducted in the West End over the course of my career!  Please enjoy!

We opened the 2019 show with the brilliant Kerry Ellis singing a new version of Rise Like A Phoenix.  With beautiful Ballroom Dancers and our full compliment of 111 countries all choreographed by our Stage Director, Donna Derby.  Donna had the great idea to open the show this way this year and it was a fabulous contrast to the normal up tempo heavy beat style that we have done!

Miss World 2019 - World In Union.

We had ten really interesting singers this year - very diverse also - so instead of booking a star turn to sing the lead vocal we decided to use our own talent!

They did a magnificent job!
