I was in Normandy with The Normandy Memorial Trust for the D-Day 75 Events on 6th June 2019. Early morning sunrise and commemoration of the new Normandy Memorial at Ver-sur-Mer with a few honoured guests - including Monty’s grandson and Churchill’s great grandson and family - then onto Bayeux and Prince Charles, culminating with a performance in Arromanches for The One Show (BBC) with the youngest veteran, Jim Radford, who was 15 and a galley boy on a tug making Mulberry harb

A huge day on Friday 6th June - The Royal Albert Hall audience stood as one after Jim Radford's Shores Of Normandy - a very moving tribute. Finished a full day of rehearsals with BBC Concert Orchestra yesterday. This event is going to be one of the biggest.... Friday 6th June all day in the Royal Albert Hall - the team of Phil Critchlow, Anthony Cherry, Jonathan Mayo, Ruth Beazley and Jennifer Green - we are our very own "Band of Brothers" - and sisters - really.
